Polka Warriors

Ah, The Polka Warriors! You see, as a computer science major, I spend most of my days in front of a computer screen, coding away. But as a member of The Polka Warriors, I get to put down my computer and pick up my trusty trumpet.

The Polka Warriors is more than just a band, we are a family (probably because my dad and brothers are also members). Playing with The Polka Warriors is a total blast! We've lit up Oktoberfest, local bars, and even brought some joy to a Nursing Home. The look on the residents' faces as they danced and sang along, priceless. It was an absolute team effort and man, the skills I've picked up in terms of collaboration and coordination are seriously impressive.

But most of all, playing with The Polka Warriors is just plain fun! It is a release from the stress of school and work, and a way to connect with others who share a love of music and culture. It has brought me joy, laughter, and friendship, and I will always look at my time with The Polka Warriors with fondness. And if you're ever in Cincinnati and you hear the sounds of German-Bavarian music, you can bet that it's The Polka Warriors, "fighting for your right to polka!"
